Rick Gilhart

Born:  May 4, 1964

Hometown:  Cincinnati, Ohio

Business:  Family manages real-estate in Cincinnati.  Recently established Gilhart Racing, LLC which is involved in driver-coaching, race car tuning, racing and rental race cars.

Likes:  Being a father is at the top of the list.  Hanging out with friends, racing sports cars and riding motorcycles.  Favorite food is Cincinnati’s Skyline Chili. Racing hero is Derek Bell and favorite track is Sebring.

- 2006 Racing Experience-

• (Mazda RX 8& 996 TT)  Won the 2006 SCCA T3 National Championship Runoffs!  Competed in and won 7 National SCCA races establishing new Touring 3 fast lap records at each track.  Converted the 996 TT to RWD and tested at Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, and Putnam Park. 

 

- 2005 Racing Experience-

• (Porsche 996 TT)  Started development of an AWD Porsche Twin Turbo for the Speed World Challenge GT Series.  Tested the car at many tracks in preparation for the upcoming 2006 season.

 

- 2003 Racing Experience-

• (Corvette & Miata)  Competed in 12 National SCCA races with (2) National SCCA wins in Touring 1 and (3) National wins in SSB.  Finished 3rd at the June Sprints in a SSC Dodge Neon.   Finished 2nd in Touring 1 and 3rd in Showroom Stock B at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs.

 

- 2002 Racing Experience- 

• Speed World Challenge Touring Car Series.  Raced the DuPont Motorsport #54 BMW touring car finishing 2nd in rookie points and 11th overall in the series.

 • (T1 Corvette Z06)  Sebring National January 5th & 6th.  Finished 2nd setting a new track record!  Finished 2nd at the Buckeye National.

  - 2001 Racing Experience- 

• (Honda S2000)  Rented car from T.C. Kline to run the SCCA Nationals in T-2.  Highlights included a 2nd @ the June Sprints and a 2nd @ the SCCA National Runoffs.

 • (Corvette ZO6)  Finished 1st at the Cincinnati Lunken Airport 3 hour enduro.
